When to use Resize Image
Enter the output width and height in pixels. With the ratio locked, changing one dimension recalculates the other; use scale to enlarge or reduce both together. Unlock the ratio only when the destination needs exact dimensions and stretching is acceptable.
Quality and file size
Reducing dimensions removes detail; enlarging can look soft. Unlocking the ratio distorts shapes. PNG and WebP can retain transparency, while JPG fills transparent pixels with white and uses lossy compression. Exporting creates a new image and may omit metadata.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set exact dimensions?
Enter width and height, then unlock the ratio if both values must stay exact; the image may stretch.
What happens with the ratio locked?
Changing width or height recalculates the other dimension to preserve the source proportions.
Does resizing keep transparency?
PNG and WebP can retain it. JPG fills transparent areas with white.
Are my images uploaded?
